In The Grapes of Wrath there are parts of the novel that are consistently and repeatedly inter-related between chapters. Like in chapter seven where it uses a monologue of a cars salesmen and in chapter eight it follows with the Joads purchasing a used car in the preperation of travel. And another example is in chapters 28 through 30. In chapter twenty-nine it describes the vindictive rains that flooded the California valley that is foreshadowed by the first rain drops in chapter twenty-eight and the flood that threatened the Joad’s boxcar in chapter thirty.
